I contacted admission, nextstep, and the frosh orientation team but they all refuse to give me another chance to reschedule for another orientation and said that my entire application will be withdrawn from SJSU. I know that orientation is mandatory and i screwed up big this time but isn’t it a little bit unfair to take away an undergraduate’s entire year of studies just because he/she made a mistake. What am i suppose to do now? Isn’t there someone else i can contact? My parents are so disappointed in me right now they can’t even look at me. If the table were turn, wouldn’t you wish you were the one receiving another chance to attend the orientation. Someone please help me.
What caused you to miss the orientation?
To be honest I marked the wrong day of my orientation on my calendar and when I checked it again it was a week late plus there was a lot going on that week for me regarding my families.
@mn1234 The orientation team is shitty. Someone posted on CC that the person could not go to the orientation because of their presence in a hospital! The person had to work at a community college then transfer to SJSU; SJSU was the top choice.
I am genuinely sorry. A big con of this school is that the advising is so terrible that the people cannot look up information online. You have a really low chance of pulling this off, and I would appeal to other colleges you got accepted to or enroll in a CC. Good luck! =/
