I MUST have 4 letter of recs...?

I have asked 3 teachers to write me a letter. On the commonapp it says UMich will accept up to 4 letters. But then it says "Required: You must have 1 more teacher(s) submit evaluations." Every other school I'm applying to is "complete" for the school forms section, except for UMich, which I can't do anything with. Help?

bump 10char

It said you have to submit (not request from teachers) at least 1.

Have any of the three you asked for been submitted?

Ohh, then nope. But for other schools I was able to select my teachers even though they haven’t submitted anything

Well, I don’t know if that’s actually the issue. Did you say the recommendations would be submitted online or on paper?

My school uses eDocs, but we still send it by paper

last year I think I had two teachers, my boss, and a couselor

So my school sends letter of recs by mail, and online it says that I must select at least one teacher who has completed the form online. What should I do…?

If your school uses eDocs, you should talk to your counselor about how they integrate with the Common App.

They probably need to change the status in eDocs to say that they will be submitted via paper.

you need one online? Last year I had all my teachers and counselors sent in through the mail

Well, it says that I need at least 1 teacher to submit evaluations. I have 3 people listed as my recommenders, but all of them are currently listed as “Not started” since they’re sending by mail. For every other college I’m applying to, I was able to select the teachers who WILL submit a rec and complete the School Forms section. But not for Michigan

If your teachers got e-mail invitations to do recommendations, they can click the link they got and indicate that they prefer to send them offline.

But as I said, if your school is an eDocs school that integrates with the Common App, there is a setting that has to be changed on your school’s end.
