I have to leave UT Austin. I absolutely hate it here. The school is too big, there is no intimacy, and I hate Business (the only good program UT has that I was interested in).

I'm looking for somewhere far, far away from here with a smaller campus (<7000) , more intimacy, and a liberal arts program.

i'm kinda the same way....i'm at a state school majoring in finance, but i've realized that is not what i want to do. majoring in business for me was just an extension of my childhood thinking(i.e. i wanted to make the most $$$$$ possible). i'm thinking of majoring in either neuroscience or environmental science w/ an econ minor.

what ever you decide, do yourself a favor, and don't follow the paycheck.....

good luck on the college search.....again;)

From your SN...I'm assuming you're looking for an ivy. Why ask then? Pretty much any school with less than 7000 is a liberal arts school or contains a liberal arts school. What region. Northeast? West Coast? South?

First check out Colleges That Change Lives. It's a bit too preachy, over dramatic, and the whole 'fit' idea can be debated, but I'm betting that the introductory chapters will make you want to take a second chance at your senior year college search and decisions.

right now my current school has sapped all the happiness out of my life. the only thing that keeps me going here is transferring elsewhere. i need to get out, at any cost. if i don't get in anywehre this year, i'm considering dropping out and waiting a year.

i agree with you ivy-transfer, for some reason georgetown's reputation is falsely inflated to be on a level with some of the more elite schools when in reality it is a great school, but perhaps not an elite one.

Show you parents the ranking in Newsweek, or show them the wikipedia page, or even go to DC and visit..... that is of course after all this georgetown talk got you interested in going lol.... Remember there is always a way to convince people of anything
