Poor Pandas, i guess some peple just never learn.
122 posts? seriously?!

We can do better than that.

Right we have to kill more of them.
123 down guys. Come on and help me.

"First, it’s confirmed by people on a forum that could be lying. Not saying you are, I’m saying it’s possible. Second, there is risk involved (the proctor not liking it, you getting a crap score, etc.).

Just take the SAT normally, as it’s meant to be taken. Not doing so is defeating the purpose of the test."

The SAT was not meant to be taken in any specific way. Some people study, some people dont care, and some people do this neat little trick. It doesn’t matter what the proctor thinks, he gets paid the same either way. Take the test at some rigged school and you can do whatever. And why would we ever lie about something as serious as the SATs. We all gather on this forum to help each other, right?

^I would hardly call exploiting old machinery “helping.”

And it definitely is NOT supposed to be taken that way. How about this: Ask Collegeboard or an admissions office, and see what they have to say.

Some people don’t study. They just randomly guess. That’s still better than what you’re talking about. It’s not a neat little trick. And it’s cheating if there’s an explicit rule that states you must fill in a single bubble.

cant u guys see that khoitrinh is being uberly sarcastic?

From the very first post of Khnoitrinh, I sensed the sarcasm. i dont know why people are actually believing it, seriously LMAO!
OK, to tell you the truth, i used to wonder why “these machines” work, that they can detect the right from the wrong. i have even thought of trying that trick, but that was like long ago, over yrs…
anyway, face it, cb is not a bunch of idiots,i’ve sure some people hav tried this in the past LOL!
if you leave 4 blanks, 1 right bubbled in, you get points.
if u leave all 5 blank, then its counted as Omitted.
if u answer all 5, then its counted as wrong.
perhaps the machine is designed to find 4 blanks and 1 right answer, for the answer to be correct.
NO, the lil dirty tricks ur thinking will NOT work on the SAT,
im 100% sure about this.
so yeah, only the right answer will get u the pts.

Yeah, that’s true: imagine how many people have taken the SAT since it began, millions of college-bound students. Theres no way that collegeboard would not have a way to pick up on a cheap little scam on the most important test in a student’s high school career! Come on guys, lets be logical.

but duh, start studying =]

Man guys…
I was having fun too. I was going to see if any actually did it.
It is funny how some people cannot sense sarcasm. I wasn’t even being subtle about it.

Laugh out loud. He had one of those moments where somebody tells a joke and he starts laughing 10 minutes later.

^ See, I called it and then got ****ed.
Silly me, I should have followed what I said in the first place.

khoitrinh and lolilaughed are fools, for all we know, its the same person with different accounts. Stupid lies like that are annoying as hell, you guys could have actually tricked niloygosh518. I hope he comes back and checks up on this thread.

Stupid lies? If that kid actually believed Kholitrinh, then he’s not ready for college. Or even the real world for that matter.

Just because some people are more innocent/gullable than others, do you think it is justified to trick them, and then say that it is their fault for believing it? Some people severely lack empathy it really bugs me.

If anybody actually believed that little “trick” could work, then college is not where you ought to be headed. Perhaps “Common Sense 101” would be proper?

^ Yes, and some people who believe they can take the easy way to getting a good SAT score bother me as well. To each their own..

It wasn’t “trickery” . It stated out as a joke and i’m quite sure the “victim” was being sarcastic as well. Do you live in dreamland? this is how the world works. If you’re able and determined, you’re likely to survive. if your downright stupid, then who are you going to blame for your stupidity? Perhaps Khol is in the wrong for suggesting it, but hey, the sat is designed to test “aptitude”. We all know thats BS, but if you got some kid running around thinking he can get a perfect score by marking up his entire test book, then the test did its job. Just take it easy . It was a joke, you don’t have to go ape*** over it.

Furthermore, aside from the point that a person who would believe me and khol is absolutely certain to be riding the short bus…the entire thread seems to be composed of a question that is completely unanswerable -

How do I get a 2400? Is there a magic formula?

I’m pretty sure 95% of the people who read this thread and see my posts will undoubtedly know I was replying in an utterly sarcastic manner. For the other 5%, well, those are the ones who believe there is a magic formula out there besides sheer study and hard work.

So calm down.

I do not live in dreamland, I am more of a realist, and seeing someone fooled, whether they deserved it or not, angers me. I’m not going ape**** over it, you are exaggerating. CC is not the place to joke around like that, especially when some innocent young kids are truly looking around for help and information. I agree it is wrong to apply such a method to achieve a high test score but even very good people can be corrupted by such temptations. Also, if you are new to the internet/CC sarcasm may be hard to detect. Also, you cannot assess one’s eligibility for college solely on the SAT, whether they applied the improper method of filling in all the bubbles or not. People mess up, whether they were doing it in a criminal manner, or if they truly didn’t study for the test. Either way, just because they chose to believe in the wrong method, or tried to take the easy way out doesnt mean they deserved such punishment resulting in failure of the SAT and denial to college. It just sounds heartless.

@all-ivy_academic- if you really want a 2400, you have to be an excellent innate test taker, or you have to study like you have no other life, and you must make it your number one priority; then only is there a chance of achieving such a score. I strongly advise against this because you will be lacking in other areas of your application. If you are in the class of 2010 then you can take the SAT as many times as you want. I have a friend who took the ACT 5 times and he got the following: 27,28,30,30,35. He didnt study at all, just by sheer repetition he attained a wonderful score.
