How should I go about this? Has anyone else been in the same situation?

Should I hawk Penn InTouch starting at midnight on the 12th and hope that I'm there the second someone drops one of the four sections of the class that would fit in my schedule?

Bleh sorry to be an annoying worrywart.

it says in the literature or online somewhere (or maybe it was an email i received) that you write to someone in the department and they’ll write you a permit, or something. call and ask your advisor, maybe?

Email your advisor as well as the department coordinator of your section (assuming you’re talking about one of the required classes). If you’re talking about an upper division class (i.e. above 140), get in touch with the professor. If it’s a required class in any way for either your major or your school, the department head (or appropriate underling) should give you clearance.
