Here's my lowdown.

I slacked off in high school. I'll admit it. I know I could have done MUCH better. I know that because I used to get great grades, even straight A's before I got lured into the "wrong crowd." No drugs or anything, but ya know.

I have a 3.2 GPA. I'm in AP CalcBC and AP Econ, my only two AP classes during my tenure. I also got a 31 on my ACT. My extra-curric's are all good, I just don't want to or feel it's neccessary that I list them here.

I want to go to a GREAT school. I'm talking Ivy League or caliber of such. Dartmouth, Columbia, U of Chicago, UPenn, Cornell, Northwestern, Emory, Georgetown, UCLA, UC-Berkeley.

Now I KNOW that I CANNOT get into those schools now. I'm not even applying to any of them. But I hope to transfer into one. My selected major is ECONOMICS. I know that my HS transcript is definitely weighing me down. But if I do EXTREMELY well, could I go to UPenn, Dartmouth, Duke, Chicago, Columbia? I have the utmost devotion, and I believe I can get a REALLY high GPA- like I can't even express how hard I would work. I know I can get into Emory because they don't even ask for HS transcripts if you're entering after your sophmore yr.

Would this work? I plan on attempting to transfer after two years, so that my college work is weighted more heavily. Has anyone ever transferred like this? Will schools accept me? I was thinking of explaining myself to them. Displaying the things I learned from this experience, etc.

Advice? Could I? THANKS SO MUCH! iGracias!
