<p>Hello everyone. I've just began studying for the SAT and so far I did only this online practice teste from collegeboard.org </p>
<p>My score was - 1760 - CR - 560
Writing - 540 (Essay - 6)
Math - 660</p>
<p>I want to score above 2000</p>
<p>Also, I ran out of time especially in CR sections. So, I'm taking the SAT on October, this gives me 3 to 4 months of preparation since I'm an international Student and I'll spend time with needed documents.</p>
<p>Could you guys make a plan for me please? I have the BB, Barrons, Grubers, Princeton Review and 500 flash cards from Barrons. 3,4 months to prepare?</p>
<p>With which book do I start? and how do I manage my time. Thanks in advance.</p>

<p>Well, no one here can help you with that. Really. But here is the thing.</p>
<p>Take the official SAT practice test. After taking it, you’ll get an idea about your strong and weak area. </p>
<p>To get a good CR score read economist or NYT at least one hour per day in the upcoming 3~4 months. It’ll increase reading speed significantly after 2 months. Get direct hits (full version as you’re international) . If your vocabulary average, DH won’t suffice but you’ll need to finish that as well as rocket review core words. After that just finish a good word list (e.g. Barrons CR or the words from previous SAT).
If you work hard, it will take 8~10 weeks to get your CR score in 650+ (use how to attack CR section effectively). To get a decent score in CR, do not use 3rd party practice tests. There are ~40 CB test available (I can’t post link here) after each test, go through the answer explanations (even those you got correct as it’ll increase understanding of reasoning of CB questions).</p>
<p>As for math, it takes practice to do the easy one fast and correctly. If you can do those first few questions with speed, you’ll get to 750 with a good amount of practice. You can start with grubers for math. </p>
<p>As for writing, the same rule applies. Do CB tests. But go through the rules ( there are only 16 common errors). Use Barron’s if you want to sharpen your skills but with 3~4 months, it will be a foolish idea to do 3rd party tests. Do what you want.</p>
<p>Take step week by week. During first 2 week, go through CR+M (1 area per 2 day). After it, next 2 weeks for CR+W. In the 5th week, take one practice test to determine weak area. Eleminate those in 1 week. After that, you’ll reach 1900~1950. Continue to take practice tests for next 7 weeks (2~3 per week , given your determination), if you use practice tests from CB with use of brain, your score will surely reach 2100.</p>
<p>Just don’t use 3rd party practice tests . They are not sexy.</p>
