I Need Advice about Graduating Early

I have recently realized that I have the opportunity to graduate a semester early by graduating this fall instead of next spring.
If I do this, I would have to leave Berkeley and go home far away from Berkeley.

I would be saving a lot of money by graduating early...
But there is one catch: I would be leaving behind a really really good job that I have here as an undergrad.

If I do decide to go home early, I will be doing volunteer work or taking enrichment courses at the local community college until I begin medical school next fall (I'm done with the app process). However, I will also have the opportunity to rest up more before I begin med school.

What would you do?

Oh also, let’s say these are the only two options.

 1. Leave Cal & job a semester early, do volunteer work/CC classes
 2. Stay at Cal and keep job for extra semester

Please, any advice would be appreciated…I’m struggling with this

bump plz, could use advice of older members

Even tho I’m not an “old” member,

If you’re comfortable at Cal and think you could use the extra money in the future, I’d say go with option 2. Otherwise, go with option 1.

Are you saying that you have been accepted to a medical school while many haven’t even been asked to submit their secondaries?

that’s seriously not the point of this post, but you’re obviously not getting that.

I am being hypothetical, since I did finish the application process and the MCATs, and I’m not too bad of an applicant.

I would stay, graduating early doesn’t sound all that appealing to me

Medical school is going to be extremely expensive… why tack on more undergrad debt? I would graduate early if I was you and take a breather.

Unless it’s an on-campus job, why don’t you graduate early and stay in Berkeley and work here?
