Hello all...new member here

I am a Logistics Senior in texas with a 3.53 GPA
I need to do an internship in order to graduate.

My problem is that 13 years ago (18 yrs old) I was quite stupid and got a burglary of building charge...I completed deferred adjudication successfully so I wasnt convicted...just charged.....still shows up on background checks...

In 2008 I got a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge.....deferred adjudication successfully completed....same thing; charged but not convicted...still shows up on background checks....

(don't need commentary on my poor choices...i am very aware....hence the college and good grades through hard work to fix my idiotic past)

I hired a lawyer to clear my record...but he wont be done until April of 2014.....the internship companies are beating down my door with offers but i am worried as soon as they run my background they will disappear......

what do you guys think? proceed forward with the interview processes or put them off until next year? a lot of them are with huge worldwide shipping firms....dont want to burn bridges...once i fail their file search, wont that ruin my chances for once i get my record clear?

cant decide---wish i would of hired lawyer earlier but well....no sense in thinking about that.

thanks
