I need advice on what college to attend to best fit my wishes..

Hey All,

So I have been going crazy thinking about which college to transfer to. I want to "triple major" in poli sci, economics, and international relations, and eventually get my J.D in Criminal Law. I am applying (and am fairly sure I will get into) some colleges that I REALLY want to go to, but the tuition is 40-50 grand (That is what is listed, I heard it is substantially lower in actuality.) Now, with the desire to have coursework in 3 majors and a J.D, you may imagine my student loans will be through the roof if I go to an expensive private school. So, I have also been accepted to Temple University in Philadelphia with almost all of my tuition paid for (I need to pay a little less than 5g). I want to go to the private schools I applied because the are ranked higher in the value of their education, have immense networking possibilities, and are located in the best possible areas for my desired major/career. What should I do?

*If people are wondering why I want to major in those I listed, it is for the knowledge part of it as well as it will assist me in my later career goals.

If your end goal is to get a JD, the undergrad school you attend will matter less than the Law School you attend. Just excel at the undergrad school you choose (high GPA), and get a high score on the LSAT. A triple major might be a bit of overkill at the undergrad level, as it’s not going to help you any better to get into Law School, imo.

Just be forewarned, the law market is completely oversupplied right now. Too many people getting their JD and not enough jobs to go around. You need to aim high for law school (top 10 schools, etc) in order to separate yourself from the other recent JD grads looking to latch on to law firms.
