i want to to apply to UGA.
i have good grades and everything else BUT my SAT's aren't the greatest.
should I just apply regular admission or apply early?
the only reason I'm wondering whether i should just wait is because it's only based on academics and my SAT's aren't that great... (550, 570, 610). what should I do?

Hey, I'm a student a UGA now, and don't worry I went through the same thing as you did. Although you have slightly better SAT scores then me, I think you have a chance. I would wait for regular decision if I were you. I applied early action but got deferred (don't ask my why. I just applied, and I didn't think I had a chance). My GPA was about a 3.7 and I can't remember the exact number of my SAT's. I had a lot of extracurricular activities and volunteer work, but I really wanted to go here, so I kept at it. I was actually put on the waiting list, but found out I got in a week after all the regular kids did.

I think you should do early action if you grades and gpa are good. well.. your grades are only helpful only if you have taken a few AP classes, otherwise they really don't mean anything and you will get deferred. Your sat score isn't to bad, believe it or not, that is around the average sat score for the school, unless you are going for the honors program. If you apply early and get deffered and then apply again, only lets them know that you really want to go there. Here is a little hint:(whisper) if you get put on the waitlist, make it a priorty to get in contact with someone in the admissions office and tell them about why and how much you want to get into the school, and 9 times out of 10 you will get in.

^^Uh, yeah that is pretty much what happened to me because HSDropOut gave me that info.
