I need advice

I am currently a freshmen in a UCSC but i am thinking of transferring to a different UC. I want to transfer to either UCI or UCLA. But i was curious to know what are my chances of getting into one of these schools[can u even do that?]. I like it here, but i am not 100% satisfied with my experience here at school. Also,I live in southern california and my family is having some crisis and i feel i need to be there for them.

Here are some alternative decisions, please help me decide. be honest:

-stay where i am at and try to transfer as a junior to either schools

-go to a CC next year and then apply to UCI/UCLA

-Just stay where i am at

Assuming you have strong grades this semester then stay put this year. Going to a CC next year doesn’t seem like a good idea – unless you need to tune down your coursework or the rigor of the courses you would normally take as a sophomore at UCSC, which I assume is not the case.

I would think that you should then apply as a transfer student next year, as a student from UCSC. Focus on getting exceptional grades this year and next.
