I need advise

i am a freshman in high school, and coming out with a 3.67-3.71 GPA, i will probably get upper 2000's (say 2200) on the SAT, i also volunteer at the local library and hospital

I need to know what my GPA should be when I apply for UVA Premed, and also does my EC's sound helpful in my admission process?

The first big question is in-state or out-of-state? Out-of-staters have to be in the cream of cream of the crop to get accepted.

Your GPA is relative without understanding your education situation. You should find out your class rank to see how measure up to your peers. I would recommend that you take as many AP/IB/Honors course as you can. Your EC’s seem standard. They will help you for admission, but something unique about your volunteer work would be even more helpful. Also, you don’t apply for pre-Med. You just take the requirement classes on top of your major.

One more thing, just relax. You have two more years of high school to work through. You don’t even have a definitive SAT score. Enjoy high school for now.
