So I have Pre Calc next semester, like tomorrow. I took honors algebra 2 and got a B- like borderline. I understood the concepts but made silly mistakes on the tests. The same teacher teaches the r track class and it’s full of kids coming from R track algebra 2. I don’t know if I should bump up to honors pre calc but I have AP US history next semester too. So should I do it?
OK, realize that none of us know the abbreviations your school uses, or know you at all.
I’m guessing R is Regents? And you were in honors, which is a higher track than “R”??
Here’s my advice, as both a mom and a math teacher: listen to those who know you. You were allowed into the class based on your past performance. So those who know you, who know the coursework you’ve taken and the coursework you’ve signed up for, all think you’ll be OK in regular, non-Honors Precalc.
Trust their judgment and experience.
