I need an extra year of community college to complete the honors program, worth it?

I did a year of junior college in Washington state (GPA 3.997).

Not all of my units transferred down to California, but with summer classes, I'll have my sixty units plus all my pre majors for business economics or economics at UCLA or UCB (or most of the other UC's) by the end of Summer 2015, making me eligible to transfer for Fall 2015.

Unfortunately, to meet those pre-major requirements and sixty units, it requires me to drop out of the honors program at my junior college (to stay and graduate out of it requires another year).

I'll be looking at 3.8 or 3.9 GPA with a volunteer service club I founded, varsity golf in Washington, varsity tennis in California, and I'm confident in my writing abilities to produce above average essays for the UC's (already started).

Even with dropping out of the honors program, do I still have what it takes to potentially be admitted to UCLA or UCB? It's a risky gamble just dropping out of it and not partaking in the required honors classes, but I don't want to be a third year at the junior college. Even then, I guess I could just finish my honors program requirement next year right?

Please give me advice on what you think I should do?

Thank you
