I need another match/possible

(Just FYI- my school does likely/possible instead of safety/match; it's classified based on how many students with academic profiles similar to mine have gotten in to a certain school.)

Okay, so I've already applied to:

-Caltech EA- Far Reach- deferred
-MIT EA
-Rose-Hulman- Accepted
-Rutgers (I live in NJ)- Likely
-USC- Possible
-WUSTL- Reach (I'm a legacy)
-Case Western- Possible
-RPI- Possible/Likely?

Definitely Applying to:
-Lehigh- Possible/Likely
-Pomona- Reach (but if it helps, I'm a legacy)
-Carnegie Mellon

I have Johns Hopkins (Possible) on my list, and my counselor says that I should either apply to JHU or to another match/possible. I would really appreciate

My stats:
White female from a competitive private school in NJ
GPA (HS doesn't give out GPA)- ~3.62
Class size- 101- school doesn't rank- I'm somewhere in the top half of my class, but I don't know my exact ranking (though I'm definitely not in the top 10th- but like I said, my school does not publish rank, quintile, etc.)
ACT- 34 composite (36 science, 35 english, 33 math, 32 reading, 10 essay)
SAT2s- Math1- 750, Math2- 770, Physics- 750
Significant ECs- Varsity Swim team (4 years), Creative writing (4 years, year-round, independent but I spend a lot of time- I wrote the 150 word "activity essay" for common app on this), Music (various activities related to guitar), other clubs at school but no leadership positions
Senior year classes- AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics B (school doesn't offer C), AP/IB French Language, IB Visual Arts, English 12, Biotechnology

What I want in a college:
-Major/field of study- Engineering (ME, BME, AE?) or Physics
-Size- between 1000 and 6000 undergrads would be ideal (yes I know USC is an exception, as is Caltech)
-Location- not necessarily in a big city, but not in the middle of nowhere; also NOT in NJ; I would prefer a warmer climate (i.e. southern CA) but obviously I'm open to colder climates (Boston)
-I want a college that is strong academically, although specific "ranking" (USNWR or otherwise) really doesn't matter to me
-I don't care if Greek life is there, as long as it's not too invasive
-I won't be qualifying for any need-based aid, if that matters

So, anyone got any ideas for some match schools for me (as I'm not sure about Hopkins)? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think you should consider Rice.

Harvey Mudd and Olin come to mind, though they may be considered reaches.

blackeyedsusan- I considered Rice originally, but took it off my list- although I'm not sure why (I can't remember). It seems really interesting, I'm definitely reconsidering it.

Sequoia- I visited Harvey Mudd, and honestly I hated it (although my cousin is a senior there and loves it!). Olin might be one to check out, but isn't it reallyyyyy tiny (like 300 students)?

Rice seems like a really good fit for what you're looking for. It's a great school with a lot going for it. You should definitely reconsider it. While you do, take a virtual tour: Rice University - Virtual Tours

molliegym: since you go to a competitive private in NJ, your college counseling office should have a good idea of which of those schools they have a good relationship with. That should really be your starting point....

If you have questions about Mudd, do not go here.

Try University of Rochester...you may get $$$$

RPI? Troy, NY ain't Manhattan, but the school offers a top technical education.

I don't think you need to apply anywhere else. It seems to me you have a solid list already.

First of all, considering you already have one acceptance, I don't think you actually NEED another possbile/likely. You already have 9 schools that are balanced nicely between the sections of reach/possible/likely, so unless you want to fill out one more application, I wouldn't recommend it.
But, if you really WANT another school, I'd second the University of Rochester and Rice. University of Rochester is a possible/likely, Rice is a possible/reach (along the lines of Hopkins as far as acceptance).

Dave_Berry- Already applied to RPI! Coincidentally, I got something from them in the mail today (something about their outdoors club I think).

country day and Sabster- Yeah, I don't really feel like I "need" another school either, but when I mentioned to my counselor that I wasn't sure about applying to Hopkins, he said "Well, either apply to Hopkins, or find another possible/likely." I don't really want to fill out another application, but my counselor seems to want me to do one more, so...

Okay, so I had a meeting with my counselor today, and he didn't even mention another match/possible, so I'm okay with what I have. After Pomona, Carnegie Mellon, and Lehigh, I'll be done.
