My question is- does anybody know the acceptance rate of twins into the Ivy League. My sister and I both have high G.P.A.'s 4.78 uw 4.0w and are both taking the hardest courses at our school. I got a 740,720, 710 on sat and she scored about 30 points less overall. We both run three varsity sports and co-captained them this year. We both did volunteer and Research work at Fox Chase Cancer Center and have been vet technicians for the past 4 years. I’d like to know what our chance of acceptance is.
Also, do twins get into the same college, if they both have almost the exact same stats and EC’s. We pretty wrote about the same things too.

...Hmmm. While it sounds like you are both qualified, I hate to be a jerk, but I think that Ivies, especially Penn, are looking for a diverse student body. If you two were extremely different in your activities - like you captained 3 sports and your twin was an accomplished musician - or something like that, sure, I dont see why not. But it kind of seems like youre the same person...?

There were twins who got into the same Ivy at my school a couple of years ago.

There were twins that got into the Columbia U this yr from my school. They're URMs and compete nationally for boxing though

I know twins that are both at Princeton. I think they did their Intel projects at the same lab, and were both semifinalists (and both attended my high school).

i know a few sets of twins @ penn

i know a set of twins who got in early this year to HARVARD and they are like the same person (besides physical appearance)

i think they are given a slight preferrence (my cousins are twins at upenn)

Two of my good friends are identical twins (look exactly the same and do like the same things w/ the same scores). They both got in to Penn early for the class of 09, so it is not impossible, if you are both qualified being a twin should definately not hurt you.
