Varsity Tennis 3 years.
Far East Tournment (its like an overseas trip for tennis game)
Vice Pres. of Chinese Club. We publish Chinese magazines for the school.
President of Biology Club. With my friend, I teach biology (+SATII Bio) to biology students (our school has alot of students who want to go to pre-meds).
Community service at a dental hospital, helping illegal immigrants (4 years)
Community service at normal hospitals.
UNICEF to Mongolia
In 10th grade, elected as a representative (one of five) for school English tournment. Didnt win though
I’m going to make an art portfolio! art is my greatest passion (as you can see i took art class every year.)

Plz, be honest (but no unnecessary harsh comments!) about this.
My chance at just a normal college at EARLY DECISION at UPENN?

for a school in the united states. he says that the most important thing is to make your application 'sparkle'. i think that you application 'shimmers', but it does not 'sparkle'

to 'sparkle' in my opinion, you should have done more extras, and you should have helped more people. for example, you could have run across the continent to help people achieve more medicines in 3rd world. my friend did this, he was at the age of 17 when he ran from seattle to mexico to raise awareness for bicycle helmets. it took him many days, and many sweats, but eventually, his hard work was rewarded as he 'sparkled'.

another option would be to have a family member on an admissions board. my pen pal from up state NY had a dad on the board for NYU. her and all of her friends were accepted. in this case, they 'sparkled in addition.

Hi Saewhan. I'm assuming you're Asian? You have really outstanding SAT II scores and your ECs are okay...wait, you helped illegal immigrants? I'm not sure if that would be a good thing to mention. But yeah...you might have some tough competition. Definitely make your app "sparkle" like what Dippity said but not the part about getting a family member on the admissions board....lol

My school says that dental community service helping illegal immigrants will
be the best kind of community service, so i dont think that we consider this in some sort of law. It will be an intern, as well as helping unfortunate people.

Well, we can start taking APs since 11th grade.
Freshmen and sophomores aren't allowed to take APs.
Maximum # of APs you can take is 4 for each year (11th and 12th)
so, 8 in total. But we can self-study APs that our school
dont have, and take exams. I took 6 in total (as i wrote
in my profile).

Ah man, i just found out that
our school DOES NOT RANK....
yea great. I'm sure this will help me.
But yes, my ethnic backgorund is asian,
but american in passport :(born in pennsylvania
