<p>Ok. So I am using a linksys wireless router.</p>

<p>My computer cannot connect to the internet even though packets are being sent. Apparently packets are not being sent.</p>

<p>My IP address starts with 169 so I know that it isn't the IP address i should have.</p>

<p>I did the whole cmd then ipconfig/renew thing but it wont let me. It said something about media connections. I forget.</p>

<p>So are any of you guys smart enough to help?</p>

<p>It sounds like you're not pinging the router. If restarting doesn't work, try resetting the router.</p>
