I just got accepted March 18 to fsu and i wanna know if it's possible to get some money in scholarships but since i read something idk if ill get any...

Each eligible student may receive only one of the noted merit-based Admissions scholarships. Because these scholarships are limited in number, students should be admitted by **January 1* for full consideration.

does that mean i cant get them since i was admitted after January 1?

and when should i hear from fsu about grants? because i just got full ride in grants and loans to ucf... all i have to pay is less than 14,000 when i graduate... i need to make a decision soon...

Financial aid awards are posted 3/26 for fall and 3/23 for summer. Merit awards might already show up on the secure apps section when you sign in. FSU makes it widely known that you need to apply in the first decision period to have your best shot at merit aid. Most of it is awarded during the first cycle to students who have expressed, by their early application, that FSU is one of their top choices.

Hang in there, it is only days away from knowing your awards. Anything is possible. You do have to understand that the more competitive the U, the higher on the list you have to be with grades and scores to get merit aid. So that USF may offer student A a full ride merit scholarship, UCF might offer that same student half in merit aid and half in loans, and FSU might offer one quarter in merit aid and three quarters in loans. That would be because USF and UCF want to raise the level of students attending. So they offer more. It helps the U and helps the student. FSU has been doing this for years as well. Student B might get into UF with an offer of only loans. While FSU might offer that student merit aid for most of the tuition.

UCF might be a better choice for you if it means a great education and graduating with only a small loan balance. You might even be able to work during the year/summers to earn that amount as well. If you really want to know, UCF is an up and coming state U, and you would get a great education there. FSU would love to have you. But sometimes, it make financial sense to go where they want you more!!! Best of luck. It is just a few days until you have all of the info.
