I am quite a SCIENCE and Math guy…

help!!!please…c’mon guys

I’d be very surprised if you werent admited.

What do you mean help? You’ve been told your chances are good. Nothing we say will affect admissions. The only thing you can do is finish this year strong, maybe do some college activities over the summer to put on your resume, and have a strong senior schedule.

thanks, guys

Haha…u seem pretty qualified but from what I hear UF can be random in their selectivity. I know a girl who got like a 950/1600 on her SATs, a 23 on her ACTs and still was able to get a full ride to UF. May I mention that she didn’t even play a sport!

I’m looking to head to UF in fall of 2010 as well so I think this is a really good post. Oh and I accepted into Boys State as well in July of this summer!

i would really suggest not taking all those AP classes. it’s going to be a very hard load, even for someone very smart as yourself. And you can’t afford to make any pitfalls your senior year. most colleges rather you ace honors than be average in AP. just my opinion as I have seen many students go down this unfortunate path. But if you really think you can handle it than by all means…but just wanted to forewarn yu anyway. =]

Your GPA, course rigor, ACT, and class rank are definitely good enough for admit, assuming you stay where you are. There’s a scattergram graph floating around in one of the threads (sorry don’t remember which one), which shows what criteria w/ percentage chance of admittance. However, if you want the honors program, you’re ACT is not high enough (did you take the SAT?). You need a “one time sitting” ACT w/ writing of 33 or above or a 2070 SAT (yes, they count the writing portion for honors admittance). Assuming you get in, if you’re hoping for honors admittance, too, keep those numbers in mind.
