I can't decide what I want to do for my major. I'm in between Marketing and Public Relations.
Currently, I'm listed as a PR major and a Marketing minor. Recently, I've been debating with the idea if I should do Marketing as the major instead and maybe do Mass Comm/PR as a minor. The reason why I am questioning is that I don't know what one has more useful courses in the long run or what degree is 'worth' more. I think that Marketing is probably more technical because of the degree program has the business core that consists of math, accounting, statistics, economics, etc. The technical part of the Marketing major, I think, may make me more 'marketable' in the long run.

The PR program at my school is more writing based and less math. I like the less math part, but I don't know if I should base my decision solely on my dislike for math. It's more writing and journalism based like most all PR or Mass Comm programs at schools. Marketing and PR are also quite related, but it seems that marketing is more broad of a subject, again, making me more 'marketable' in the long run. I also realize that in today's world, a lot of employees in business need a graduate degree like an MBA, which is another thing running through my mind.

Does any one have advice on this little dilemma that I am going through?

Both degrees are B.S. degrees and both are accredited by actual accrediting firms (if that matters). I really appreciate any advice.
