People around me are deciding where they are going to school and I’m starting to get freaked out that I’m so confused. Last spring I visited Penn and fell in love, but as time has gone on I’ve become less and less sure if it’s the place for me…
So here’s some background- I want to do anthropology and go into a career in human rights. But I’m pretty open-minded. I’m low-key but I work hard. I’m NOT a partier, although that could change. I guess some would consider me a hipster. I’m trying to decide between Georgetown, Macalester, University of Wisconsin, Emory, And Penn. I still haven’t heard from Penn or Macalester. Anything to help me decide if I’d be happy with the anthropology program or the social life at Penn would make me appreciate you FOREVER.

I'm a non-partying anthropology major, so feel free to ask me anything you like really, or IM or whatever. Penn is not in general all that hipsterful, but there are a few around. Greater Philadelphia, on the other hand, is loaded with all kinds of hipsters, haircuts and scenesters, so there is plenty of stuff going on off campus and you would probably love being in west philly. also, if your SN is anything to go by and you are a bike kid, then there are some sweet biking activities going on - critical mass and alley cat races and so on, fun for all the family.

I actually chose between Macalester and Penn. The deciding factor, for me, was the sheer size of the school. It is easier to find a group of people you really like when there is a larger selection.
