Here are my stats:
female from NJ
1150/1740 sats [superscore]
GPA: 90.321 (we don't have a weighted GPA)
Class rank: 114/776, top 14%
3 aps (currently) & CP classes throughout 4 years
taking Italian sats & math sats in december
I took the acts (receiving the scores in 2 days) but I'm retaking them in December.
Amazing recs: one from my italian teacher who I've had for 4 years and another one from my US history teacher who is now my AP Economics teacher.
Essay: also amazing. I actually love to write and I show my talent through my essay.

I also have 3 college credits from taking Italian for four years.

These are the colleges I'm applying to so far:
New York University (no chance but can't hurt!)
Boston University
Temple University (already applied)
Rutgers-New brunswick (already applied)
American University

I'm not sure about:
Montclair State University
University of Massachusetts Amherst

I really want to go to a big, diverse school. I was thinking about Manhattanville college but I don't like the fact it's so small. I would also love to be in a big city. (I like how NYU and BU utilizes the city).

Any suggestions? Also staying around Northeast area is a must.

I'm applying to american U too. If you want big and diverse then Boston U probably isn't the way to go... I've heard it's over abundant in the preppy upper middle class type. Look at Pitt. Pitt= big city, big school, diversity. You need to apply immediately though since they have rolling admissions.

Really? My doctor went there and she told me Boston was very diverse and loved it there. For University of Pittsburgh, I looked it up on collegeboard and it said 80% are white. =/

St Johns, Drexel maybe St Joseph. St Joes may not be as diverse as some of the others, but it is in Philly so there would be a lot to do. Also, St Joes and Drexel are not as large as St Johns.

I would like to stay away from any religious schools, I should of mentioned that. [Which is what steered me away from Fordham]

I looked a lot into CUNY and SUNY schools but I really don't think it's for me. I'm still a little undecided about Montclair State University as a safety. I'm retaking the ACTs and I should do a lot better. What should I aim for to have a better chance at these schools?

Any suggestions for schools around Boston area? Northeastern? I would love to be in NYC but I don't think Pace University is worth the price..
