Hey everyone. I live in SoCal, currently going to Orange Coast College. I got a 3.71 cum GPA, and I am going to be getting a 4.0 this semester. SAT scores suck (only took them once, did not even study). The prestigious schools want an SAT score, and I don't know if I am cut out for schools like that (Stanford, Northwestern, etc), but I would be willing to retake my SAT just to transfer (opinions welcome).

I am a Bio major, looking for a great private university to transfer to.
Going to get my B.S., then M.S., then hopefully go to Vet school.

I like the mid sized universities (5k+) but I could care less.

I want to have great professors, great bio department, research opportunities, professor taught, small classrooms, housing nearby for my dogs, environment close to the city so I can get more vet experience and I love to hike.

The places I have been looking are at Chapman University, University of San Diego, University of San Francisco, Whitman College, USC, etc.

I am not really open to Liberal arts (seems better if you start as a freshman).

I have been looking for a long time, but I end up with nothing.

Thank you all for your recommendations and/or comments/tips.
