I NEED HELP, I Have Two More Days!

I am deciding between UConn in Storrs and St. John's University in Queens, NY. Money wise its' almost the same numbers.

I will be majoring in economics and will probably change to the school of business later on.

UCONN is ranked higher in every list than STJ (50 to 152). But I am afraid that going to UCONN may put me at a disadvantage because it's not in a city. Although it is MUCH higher ranked and more prestigious, I figured a city would be better.

However, I was looking around and talking to people and they either said STJ is a bad school or never even heard of it.

At the end of the day I want to find a job in Los Angeles or New York City. I have notion that going to UConn would make it easier for me to find a job in Boston not LA or NYC, and I REALLY DON'T want to live in Boston.

Thoughts, suggestions?

No - there’s no significant impact of the geographical location of your degree.

…

Uconn would probably be better since its programs are better. Location is not that important since they are both in the northeast

But I want to head over to the West more than anything

Neither one will make a difference in heading west. Pick the one you like better.

So should I go with the more prestigious school in a small town or lesser school in a city?
