My friend took the SAT and ACT. He did not realize that the University he's applying to required either SAT plus Subjects Tests or ACT. He sent his SAT, but now it's basically null and void. He took his ACT but he sent it to himself, as opposed to the University and the University explicitly said to send the scores to them. Since he thought he'd be using his SAT's, he just sent them to himself. He still has not received the scores in the mail. Is there anything that he can do at this point since the deadline is January 1st?

Most school (likely ALL) accept SAT/ACT scores after the deadline. Many even accept students to take the SAT in Jan. So it is not too late, just request them to be sent to the university but make sure the application is in by the deadline.
