I need help on BOOKS

I'm trying to buy books online right now, and I was wondering which book I need to buy for MATH 3B. I understand that it's listed in the ucsb bookstore as CUSTOM SV CALCULUS (TEXT ALONE).

I'd rather not pay full price, so I'm looking at the books on half.com. I found the single variables calculus book by the same author, but does it matter which edition I buy? (It also says Early Transcendentals online--Is this a toally different book?) And since the one used by the professor is custom, should I just buy it from the bookstore?

And also, I'm taking CHEM 1AL, and the lab manual's price appears as TBD. If I buy this, would they just charge me when the price is determined? And for this also, does it matter which edition I buy?

Thanks in advance!

Search the online bookstores by ISBN number rather than title (using the exact same ISBN number as shown for the UCSB bookstore version of the book). That way you are assured of getting the correct version and edition of each book. You might also try BIGWORDS.com and amazon.com for used textbooks.

That calculus book was the same of my community college as is was at this school… Let me guess, Stewart 6th Ed early transcendentals. Yeah, that will be fine… I highly recommend not buying it tho, it’s useless. Every teacher at this school uses webwork. I have a PDF file of that book if you want… It’s useless, but free. Hit me up.
