So I really need help on my ACTs. so far i have taken this test twice. and both have had extremes. on my first test i got 29 math, 28 reading and english and 23 science. the second time i got 30 on math and science, 25 english, 22 reading. both have composite score of 27. I really want to get at least a 32. do you think that it's possible? how should I study for it? what did you get on your act and how did you study for it? and suggestions for me?

It all depends an what kind of 27 you have. Are you answering questions incorrectly because you don’t understand them, because you are making careless errors, or because you’re not adequately prepared?

From the looks of it, you have the potential to score about a 30. Getting a higher score depends on the answer to the above question.

It would probably be in your best interest to consult with a teacher or a tutor to truly get the answer to your question.

PM me if you still have questions.

I couldn’t help but look at your reply. I have been taking a lot of ACT Practice Tests and I don’t know if I will get a good grade. Do you have some tips? I really need help on the science, reading, and math part. Which book is most like the ACT besides the REAL ACT book? I have been studying but I can’t get a handle on the science, reading, and math parts. What are some tips on taking the ACT? Thanks

A few questions for you:

What are you scoring right now?
Why do you feel like you can’t get a handle on those sections?

I could give you generalized tips, but they won’t address your specific concerns.

Also, depending on what material you are looking for, you could look into Princeton Review Practice Tests or Kaplan. They aren’t the most authentic, but it sounds like you just need extra practice.

Hope this helps. If you need more help, you can PM me.
