I need help picking a good college for premed..

I am a junior but I want to start looking for colleges early
I make mostly A's and B's
I'm taking 4yrs of Latin
I'm a member of hosa at school
I was selected to be in the duke program in middle school I took the sat? I don't remember what the duke program was called though and I never got my scores,...
So I want a good premed school that dosent have huge classes or those really competitive students...

what area of the country, what would you like to major in while in undergrad, what type of school? do you need financial aid, or would you potentially qualify for merit aid?

that program is TIPS if i recall correctly

I live in Houston tx I know the Baylor is downtown but I heard that it’s super hard to get in there
I have a 150,000 college fund that my parents made for me
I would like to major in biology or microchemistry…

what kind of gpa or test scores do you have? you might want to keep that 150K for med school? try for a good undergrad as cheap as you can get it now.

i think most would agree, that it will be your gpa and mcat scores that get you into a med school, so you want a school with good pre med advising, as you want sciences… a school with good science program. You will see a variety of opinions on here…some will say an lac is more personal and better for pre med, others will say a state u, or a school known for good med school acceptance rates (although that can be very skewed) You will want a school that can give you research and shadowing opportunities.

the only right path (other than gpa and mcat) is the path that takes you to a school where you will do well, and enjoy yourself.

my son goes to a school where he is doing forensic chem and molecular biology, and has the above mentioned things including merit aid,…if interested just pm

Wow thats great I would like to know what college your son goes to
I took the sat one time in middle school as I said for the duke program but I never got my scores because I moved…
But i know I took the sat my freshman year and made a 160k is that good enough?
I also volunteer alot!
