I need help please

Hi, I just checked mt App. Status on online. But, on App. Status there was nothing. It use to say Principal but nothing was there like total blank. What is going on?

it probably means your appointment has been rescinded. better luck next year!

TLS: Did you sign your acceptance of your appointment and get it back to the Academy by the due date? Or it could be an error on the USMMA page :) Think positive. Call admissions in the morning and find out what's going on.

Or they are possibly getting ready for next year's batch of applications and have removed this years info. Calling is always the best bet though.

I don't know what's going on but I wouldn't worry about. I just checked mine and the appointment status was blank(I have accepted the appointment offer). I highly doubt the Academy is rescinding appointments en-mass. I know I sure haven't done anything to be told "better luck next year".

So did you call to find out? I know of a few people who are already accepted
where the admission sight no longer has any info under candidate status. The response from Usmma 2009 was to say the least ignorant due to the fact he knows nothing of the newcommer or his situation.

snappler...
2009 was obviously joking. there have been issues with the site and intranet here at school for days, i wouldn't worry about it too much.

is2day4him,

I appreciate your input, so I'm o.k. with usmma 2009. I have alot of respect for any Kings Pointer. It's just there are times that negative or shall I say less than constructive info is mentioned on the forum. We understand it is a difficult institution both academically and regimentally but some folks seem to want to have the the new students entering plebe year focused on failure and not success. I have found in my years that some people get enjoyment out of making somethings appear even harder than they actually are. Not that KP is easy, but if you've gone to a good HS, been an excellent student, took AP calc and physics, and were a state champion calibur athlete, then you should do just fine as long as you learn to accept criticism, take that criticism constructively, correct your mistakes, follow the chain of command, avoid getting hung up on the negative dialogue that some will try to brain wash you with to fail and thin out the class numbers, then you can succeed. I also understand that fantastic students have failed to make it at KP. The bottomline seems to me to be a strong student ,a loyal follower, a strong leader, and avoid being a screw up. Do these things and a 4 yr education at the USMMA can be yours along with the bright future and opportunities that this school prepares you for. Anyway, I hope you all have had a semester that was productive and succesful. By the way has anyone heard from the kid who started the post? I am curious as to how his situation panned out.

Have a Great Day.

snappler,
you raise good points. i'll agree that his joke was probably ill-timed at best.
the thing that you'll find with Kings Pointers, pretty much across the board is that we love to complain. i'm not saying it's a good thing by any means, it's just a truth of this place. perhaps it is what binds us together so closely.

you will rarely find a kings pointer that truly hates this place. and yes, we do make it sound exceptionally hard. which it is, but as you said, we sometimes tend to go overboard. i know i am guilty of it, and for that i sincerely appologize. i think sometimes we tend to forget just how freaked out we were when we were still in high school awaiting the unknown.

if you want to succeed here, you can. there are resources everywhere that will help you as long as you put forth the effort. for those incoming candidates, if you are struggling at Calc or Physics, there are many professional tutors, as well and tons of MIDN tutors.

bottom line to any worried kids, don't stress out. enjoy your summer. you'll figure this place out in good time.
keep your chin up, have fun, and welcome to the family

Kudo's to snappler and is2day4him, very well said. KP is no different than anything in life. If you want to succeed and put forth the effort you will. To the new candidates, just focus on the positive things and keep in mind your ultimate goal. :D
