i put in 500...i thought there was something about travellers checks...each person gets to take $1000 on the carrier right? so about 500 sounds good enough...

Thanks. I really had no idea what to put.

Yeah I put 1000 dollars...the form, along with the Financial Aid app, does ask for weird things (like how much you spent on entertainment o.O )

Without those questions, colleges would have no way of knowing how high the cost of living is in certain countries. $70,000 for a 7 people household (my family) may be a fortune in some countries and not much money at all in others.

But knowing how much you will bring to the US? Seriously, I have no idea how much money I will need/spend. All I know it will be cheaper than living in Sweden. However I will have to pay for things my parents usually pay for me.
I just get really annoyed because I am feed up with all the time I have and still have to, put into looking up detailed stuff about the whole college thing, when having tons of schoolwork. I guess I'm getting a bit overwhelmed, ignore me :).
