I need Help with picking a college!!!!

I am a senior in high school.
I got accepted to PLU (in Washington), University of California - Santa Cruz, University of California - Santa Barbara, and I didn't get into UCLA.
I am awaiting decisions from Berkeley, and University of Arizona.

I am wanting to have an Anthropology major with a focus in Archaeology.

What school would be the best for me to pick with my focus wanting to be in Archaeology?

Also, my stats were:
GPA: 3.6
SAT: 1750
SAT 2: 570 & 540
ACT: 29
Varsity Golf: 4 years (Current)
National honors Society
Renaissance
Honor Roll
Theatre
ESD Photography State Winner
I have tons more awards and other things I can add.

very low SAT's

Berkeley
Arizona
UCSB
UCSC
PLU

Berkeley and Arizona are far and away the best on your list for anthro/arch. UCSB and UCSC are also pretty decent options, with UCSB having an edge. PLU is not strong in anthro/arch; the one good archaeologist they have is mostly a research associate.

I know my SAT's are very low, i just choked.
I take it my chances for CAL are basically crap then?

I'd get rid of Arizona, which IMO is far less desirable than your 2 UC choice so far. Cal if you get in and the one of the other 2 you like best if you don't. I don't know about PLU.

I think the University of Arizona has one of the top five highest rated anthropology departments in the country. I know it sounds strange, but it is becoming really prestigious in the archaeo-anthro world.

1) Cal
2) AZ
3)UCSB

Arizona’s proximity to sites in the Southwestern states and Mexico make it a logical choice for a top flight Anthro-Archaeology dept.

Slight correction…it isn’t “becoming” good in archaeology; it has always been strong in that area. Berkeley, Arizona, Penn, and to a lesser extent Michigan have long been the archaeology powerhouses.
