I need Help with SAT preparation

OK so I am going into my Junior year and well I need a lot up help preparing for the SAT. My main goal for the SAT is to get at least a 2000 because I need to compensate for a not so stellar freshman and sophomore year. Problem is I have not studied at all so I will probably take the SAT in fall, but really only as a practice, and will try my hardest if there is one around spring time or late winter don't know exact dates right now. So only book I have is the 2010 edition of Kaplan's SAT prep. So what books do you guys recommend, but they can't be too expensive cause money is tight right now so I can't go to a SAT prep course. Oh and I specifically need help in in the writing section not really the essay part but grammar part cause i suck at that. Do you guys think it is plausible to start studying now and get a 2000 in around March?

I sort of have another question, but this one isn't really about the SAT but I didn't want to post two threads so maybe you guys can help out too. OK so my freshman year GPA was a 88. something and sophomore year was a 90.69 and I am 12th in my class, but I am taking 1 AP classes this year took one last year and mostly college or accelerated classes and by end of senior year I will have had all AP classes offered besides like AP calc. So basically the person with the highest GPA is only a 96 not sure if that's cumulative but it was her sophomore year GPA probably. So my question is with all these weighted classes its possible for my GPA this year to be around a 105 so I just wanted to know if my GPA this year was a 105 and next year since I will be taking mostly APs it can be around a 108 so with that do you guys think I could at least be 2nd in my class but hoping more for 1st though? Or did my 1st 2 years of high school screw my over? So guys thank you and well could you try to respond quickish cause I want to be able to like start studying for SAT tomorrow. Thanks for all the help

OK I got 21 views but instead of only views how bout some replies :)

Yeah what he/she said. Kaplan is mediocre(my opinion) but it is helpful for starting.

Take as many AP classes as you can because if you don’t they’ll make you take it in college will be so much harder, in fact I’m taking 5 AP classes this year so I don’t have to take them in college.
