I am looking to get some advice and quite honestly i have no one to ask.

I am a junior in college (University of Missouri - Columbia) looking to get into the Business School.

Long story short, I really messed up the first year and a half of college. I got distracted, therefore causing my GPA to drop very low: after the first semester freshman year, i had a 1.8! and the second semester it was at a 2.01. i was disappointed at myself. Ever since then, I have been trying to pull my grades up but it has been slow. right now I'm at a 2.318. The biggest thing is that no one in my family knows this.

I have to apply to the upper school of business in February, after this semester, needing a minimum of 2.60. I know that pulling my GPA up is going to be a little tough, but i might be able to pull it off. But the 2.60 doesn't guarantee me a spot. I am freaking out about the fact that I may not get in. And this is the only time that I can apply because i will have 64 credit hours. If i do get denied, I will have to transfer out of the business school... Also, I find out late February if i was excepted or not, basically ruining a semester if it is a no.

I do not know what to do. I have had my heart set on business for so long. If i was forced to switched majors, i have no idea what the closest thing would be. Also that would mean that i may even have to stay for an extra year in college (which i cannot let happen!). I would consider transferring to texas, (since my family is down there) like SMU or something to pursue a business degree if possible but i don't know how many credits would transfer and how long i would have to stay at another school.

Please tell me what to do if I don't get in... i would really really appreciate any help.
