I was looking into applying to Cooper Union (Engineering). They have an sat/II requirement for Chem or Physics, but I'm taking AP Bio this year (junior). I planned on taking one of those next year. I emailed them, and they said it's absolutely required to apply. What can I do???

Take both the chem and physics SAT II or just not apply to Cooper Union…

Why both?

Didn’t you take Chemistry or physics last year before you took AP bio? If so, review your notes and take the SAT Subject.

Is NYS Regents chemistry really going to be enough?

Look at Sparksnotes (free, online), they have Chemistry. You can review everything you need.
IIn addition, you can self study: buy a prep book and practice, practice, practice.
If NYS Regents Chemistry is what you have, that’ll be your foundation, and you’ll go from there; try to take the test in October to give yourself time to prepare (or June if you think you can handle it).

you can teach yourself the chemistry. in fact, you will teach yourself chemistry in college, so don’t let the teaching yourself stop you from prepping for the test.

Your best option is to take one of them over the summer - preferably in an environment where you can do the labs. This might mean taking a freshman level course at a CC or local commuter college.

Wow thanks for the replies! I’ll keep some of this in mind
