I applied to a school and told them I was a freshman because I don’t want them to know about how I did at the school I attended I don’t know what to do I know what I need is wrong but I was going through a very tough time which prevented me from doing well I am currently in the process of getting everything situated to go away to school
Also I for some reason am listed as a out of state student which is not true is that connected
So basically you lied on your application that you were a freshman, hadn’t attended any other schools, when you really are a transfer? I’m pretty sure there is some part where you certified your application was accurate, true and complete. If you get accepted or already have been, and you are later found out, your acceptance will be revoked. And it could happen at any time. You could be kicked out mid term and will still owe the school money for that semester, and have to repay any financial aid you received. I can’t answer why you would be listed as OOS, when you are not. But your best course of action is to just withdraw your application/or withdraw from the school if you’ve been accepted already. Apply again as a transfer being honest the next cycle. The possibility of the consequences is not worth the risk. Attend your local CC in the interim and work hard to get your grades up to a better place. Earning something outright is better than lying your way into it.
Yep, you need to come clean which will likely mean your offer will be withdrawn. But if you take a penny of finaid, they’ll not only expel/revoke your diploma, they will go after you legally. Good luck but you are committing fraud. You need to get off that path
Based on your grammar skills on this post, I see why you did poorly at your previous school. You don’t appear to be ready for a university education. You need to confront your situation by telling the truth.
I agree that if you have accepted financial aid and are being dishonest, they have the right to legally sue you.
Colleges can and will find out where you had previously enrolled. They all participate in the National Student Clearinghouse. The minute you enroll the process will start, they will find out and expel you.
