I need help!

So, I’m planning on taking calculus 1 online next semester, and I’m taking a trigonometry course this semester and will like finish with an A-.

My other math background is Pre-AP Precalculus back in high school…am I ready to take Calc 1?

Probably. You could explore what academic support resources are available to help before you start if you end up feeling like you are in trouble. If you go to class, keep up with your studies, go to office hours the second you feel like you are struggling, turn in all the problem sets assigned, and go into exams well prepared you should be fine.

Office hours are pretty much non-existent; do you mean just email the instructor for help? The online course I’m taking is through a different college, not my main one…however, we do have an online tutoring service through Blackboard that my school offers…

Sorry, I missed the online part in your original post. I suppose you could email the professor and use the online tutoring if you need it. You could also watch classes that cover similar topics in the course on MIT open course or try Khan Academy.

My online instructor told me that the book isn’t required for the course, but I will get the book anyways for practice purposes.
