So I'm accepted to Emory and I'm SO HAPPY about it, but they gave me virtually no financial aid. I still have to pay 40 grand a year. The thing is, I plan to major in biology (pre-med), and Emory is an excellent school for that. The only schools I have gotten into are Emory, UGA, and GA Tech...and I've narrowed my choices down to Emory and GA Tech..however, biology/pre-med at GA Tech is extremely weak..but GA Tech is so much cheaper..so I don't know what to do. I plan to go to med school as well. But I think Emory would better prepare me for it...gah. I hate how everything is based on money.

oh yeah, and I got into GA Tech Honors...but my top choice is still Emory

I'm guessing that you'd be under HOPE at Tech so it'll probably cost relatively litte. I'm an Emory grad and go here for medical school. With that being said, I don't think you'd be at any disadvantage going to Tech or be any less prepared for medical school. Quite honestly, the whole pre-med strength of a school is overrated. You have to take a couple of classes that have little to do with what you'll be doing in medical school. If you don't think you'd be happy at Tech and are willing to pay the extra money (which is a lot), go to Emory. If you want to save money for med school, go to Tech. You'll probably come out in the same place regardless of what you do.
