Oh ok, I didn't catch that you were an international student! But r u sure Georgetown doesn't give FA to I.S? I thought they did.
Cool, okay, if you're willing to retake the SAT and you're confident that you'll score higher I'll give you some pretty competetive, yet attractive schools

U. Penn
Washington at St. Louis
Duke
USC
Washington and Lee
Hamilton
Tufts
Bates
Bucknell
Lafayette
Lehigh
I wont put down any safeties ;)

Yeah. My bad, Georgetown does give FA to international students.

Give me some safeties too ? Is St. Lawrence a good one ?

Hamilton and Lafayette are already on my list. Lehigh is a good one too. I have to cross Bucknell out since their requirement of $17000/year contribution.

did someone in finaid at bucknell tell you that they now require a $17,000 contribution from internationals? i ask because i hadnt heard of any changes in bucknells international finaid and the average international package last year was north of $40,000.

thanks in advance.

also, a general suggestion: if a huge financial aid package is a must (and it appears that it is), i would recommend adding a significant number of less selective schools to your list. being an international applicant in need of significant financial aid puts you at a real disadvantage in the admissions process.

in terms of other schools, i dont have any specific recommendations as i am not familiar with international finaid at many schools a bit less selective than those being mentioned in this thread. that information is available on a schools common data set, though, so a bit of legwork should turn up some gems.

its a competitive process as it is. needing finaid as an international just makes it that much harder, so its best to hedge your bets.

What dream schools should I apply to ? I like Yale, Dartmouth, Princeton, MIT now some people mention UPenn. What do you guys thinks ? How about some dream liberal art college ??

If you are up to consider something different, The University of Puget sound in Tacoma, Washington sounds like a good fit. Also Swarthmore College in PA if you're looking for a smaller atmosphere; it's full of very bright, very traditional people and it's definitely worth a look =D

UPS Would def be a safety, I'd say Colgate or Swarthmore as far as safety liberal arts. And dream colleges, go for Dartmouth, from what I hear it is the least oppressive Ivy League education and creates a great student atmosphere.

Colgate and Bucknell match your description, geographic preference, and are similar to the schools you have listed. Definitely look at Colgate if you are into Hamilton.
