I need help...

I'm a white male from southern california. 4.1 weighted GPA, FULL AP/IB Courseload and FULL DIPLOMA IB CANDIDATE, I have a 2090 SAT (720cr, 650 math, 720 writing), 610 math sat2, 630 apush, 3 years basketball, 2 years ASB leadership, Boys State Attendee etc.

I am having major trouble picking my schools to apply this year due to my stats, im nto sure what im qualified for. Here is final list of schools i will be applying to that I have come up with, but im not sure if its full of unwise choices. I want to major in business management/administration or economics.

Privates ---> Syracuse, NYU, Carnegie Mellon, Boston University, Cornell, USC, Miami U

UC's-----> UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Riverside

Out of State State Schools ----> UNC Chapel Hill, U of Virginia, Illinois Urbana Champaign

How does this look? Am I likely to get accepted to any of these schools, which ones are worth it (cornell is still like a major reach but im going to do it anyway) I really want to get into syracuse, boston, or illinois urbana champaign. ANY ADVICE

Thanks so much, i really am in a tight spot and college apps are due soon!

gpa/course load?

the GPA is now given, i fixed it, thanks!

Carnegie Melon, Boston and Cornell - you sound good for those, so give it a try. Don't forget the essays
Chapell hill - hard for out of state..
Rest - looks like 'in'.

any other advice, i have gotten different answers from others, because i have a low GPA, people have said i cant get into many of these. anyone else with opinions

are the EC's you listed all you will have on your application? if you did anything else, mentioning it here would make it easier for us to chance you.

but if that's it for your ECs, i'd say these schools are tough for you:
NYU, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, USC, UCLA, UNC Chapel Hill, U of Virginia

but you have a strong shot at Syracuse, UIUC, and the others.

to be blunt, most of those schools are reaches based on what you gave us. 7 reaches, 2 matches, 3 safeties isn't always the best way to go. if i were you, i'd look at some more matches. Indiana has a pretty good business school.
