Is it realistic for me to believe I can raise my SAT score by 350 points come October?

My Sat score was really low: 1650 (yeah I know, I would have died if it had not been for my mother, who consoled me)
My math was weak 450, (please don't laugh), and my critical reading score, I cannot even continue....

I feel hopeless... (it's already August!!!)

Sounds like the first thing you need to do is calm yourself down. You need to figure out a plan of attack for this test. You can have a 350 point jump but it will be very difficult. Probably get a copy of one of the official study guides from CB and start there.

Did you prep at all the first time? If not you should pick and read a standard SAT prep book; Princeton Review, Barron, Rocket Review, etc. Then after you’ve gone through all the strategies you could take College Board’s official tests.

alright man a few things. 1. u might wanna take a prep course. if it doesn’t make u smarter, at least it will drill into ur head the format of ur test. honestly, the Princeton Review course gives us 20 pages of math as homework every class, so if that aint enough practice, idk wat is. 2. math is tha easiest 2 improve; u dont have to b good at learning new concepts, u gotta b good at recognizing old ones all the way from 4th grade to 9th or 10th. practice math a lot. 3. for readin, just look for evidence in tha text. the important thing is, do more finding for evidence than you do thinking.

i hope i helped; i was bored on a hot summer day and had nothin else 2 do : (

I went to Huntington Learning Center in Boca Raton and it really helped me. They drilled me on the things that I sucked at and they really helped improve my score. I liked the people there too. They really truied to help. My scores went UP.
