I Need Help

Hey everyone,

I am currently a junior in a very competitive small private school in LI, NY. I have recently taken a long look into a college that might fit me, but many people are just pointing me in different directions, leaving me kind of unsure where to go.
So, I was hoping that you "Resident experts" could help me out!

I am an Israeli-American, and I am the youngest of 4 brothers and sisters (BU, Harvard, McGill). My family is a very ambitious one, and they have long pushed me towards top colleges. However, my less than excellent grades make me think I am not good enough. That having been said, I am much better looking off paper than I am on. Everyone I know says that.

GPA - Weighted: no AP's or Honors (classes supposed to be just as hard, though I am taking classes outside of school next year)
Class Rank: We don't rank, but I am definitely near the top...
Class Size: 30

Scores:

Anyway that's it. I still maintain that my best qualities lie in areas that I fear colleges cannot see. Leadership, charisma and such (not trying to be cocky...just frank). I would appreciate all words of criticism, encouragement, and advice.

EDIT: I should also mention that I am almost tri-lingual.
(spanish, hebrew, english).
I have also extensively traveled around the world.
Thanks in advance!!

bump…
Anything would be appreciated…

Well what colleges are you looking at? It’s hard for us to say what colleges interest you…there are a multitude of colleges out there that are matches for you, safeties and reaches. But it’s where YOU want to go that matters

thats the thing…
I don’t know!!
I was thinking GW or Georgetown. Something in a city where I could live a fun life but still take in good culture.

Well, you’re a pretty qualified applicant for many schools. Here are some I would suggest for you, and you’re welcome to add some to your list or completely disregard them!

GW, Georgetown, BU, BC, Upenn, NYU, UVA, UNC-Chapel Hill, Emory, Vanderbilt, Carnegie Melon.
And maybe some more reach-ish schools: Duke, Cornell, Columbia

Hopefully you have a better idea of where you want to go soon  Always good to start as soon as possible on those applications
