So I posted earlier about wanting to double major in music and biology( because i want to be a vet) I now know that double majoring is virtually impossible and difficult to do. I was wondering if minoring in music is an option? If not do you know of any schools that have orchestras for non-major students because I love my violin and I don't want to have to choose :(

Double majoring is not impossible. It is difficult to do. It may not be possible to do a BM at a conservatory and also pursue a biology major, but at many LACs I assure you that it is possible to pursue music and a natural science. One of my own classmates at Rhodes doubled in music and math.

I think most of the students who play in the orchestras at my school are not music majors, actually. I also know it would be possible to double major at my school, though certainly we’re stronger in biology than music (Not that our music students aren’t incredibly talented, just that we aren’t an arts school where students attend for the sole purpose of pursuing music). It’s really going depend on what type of school you go to. At large universities where you may have to apply to a smaller school within the university, it would probably be harder to double major. At a liberal arts school, it will probably be easier. I’m not familiar with pre vet requirements, so if they add significantly to the course load on top of biology, then it will probably take significant planning to double major and fulfill those requirements. In that case it might be easier to major, minor, and meet your vet school requirements. (I’m sure you are aware you don’t have to be a bio major to go to vet school, as long as you fulfill the science related requirements)

didn’t you post this yesterday??

^^Bigger question, did you just post this again directly above this one? You can just keep replying to the same thread as your questions change, you know.
