I Need More Help with Housing Options

I'm going to be a freshman at Wesleyan University this fall and am trying to decide where I'm going to live. I have the housing information Wesleyan sent me, and I also searched this site but I couldn't find much. I'd like to hear what Wesleyan students actually think about the positives and negatives of each dorm. Any advice? Thanks!

You get assigned a dorm..........you don't really get to choose.

You get a choice between mixed and all-freshman, and then there are a couple special dorms/halls you can request. I would recommend looking the Class of 2012 facebook group for more details.

In my opinion, with the opening of Usdan, Clark has definitely become the best dorm on campus to live as a freshman. There's a pretty good sense of community on each of the halls, and the building is all freshmen. Plus, it is a stone's throw away from PAC, Olin, the Science Center, Usdan, WeShop and Foss Hill. You'll never have to walk very far to get to anywhere on campus (which is important for lazy people like me who consider the trek across Foss Hill a marathon).

Contrary to the popular perception that it is a "jock" dorm or a loud, obnoxious party hall, I NEVER ever had any problems with noise or annoying people, and I lived on the first floor next to the elevators. There will almost always be people studying or socializing in the study room or lounge area.

I definitely recommend it.
