I need ONE reach !!!!!

I already have some safeties and matches in my college list (in my opinion). But somehow I wanna apply to 1-2 colleges that are reaches for me. So could anyone suggest me the best undergrad business school that I might have greatest chance to get into.
here's my stat: SAT 1800 (that's why I call it a reach), GPA is around 4.1W,my schools doesn't have ranking, 2 AP classes this year, Honor classes in junior year, a few ECs. I'm international/Asian spending junior & senior year in US high school.
*Note: I'm looking for a reach that might accept me. good business/finance department. I prefer to stay in the east, west or somewhere around MI,IN,OH,IL and the campus in small city/suburban or more crowded area. the tuition may range from 30-35k, I don't really need financial aid.
-->> just wanna try if any miracle comes to me :D

Lehigh, GWU...only reaches b/c of SAT's as you say.....but the not needing any aid may really help at those type of schools this year.

edit: also, add Emory (I just noticed the international/Asian spending jr and sr yr in US)....20% of class of 2012 is of Asian decent.

I am not in a spot to evaluate how your standardized testing scores and grades rank among other applicants but if you are looking for academically prestigious schools in "MI,IN,OH,IL" or thereabouts, I would suggest you look into the large state schools like University of Michigan or University of Illinois. They will most certainly offer the financial majors that you mentioned and more importantly, are large enough to attract recruiters to campus. Furthermore, they have name power in the region and might improve your career prospects afterwards. Even if you ditch the boring financial services life goals, these schools will be excellent for you because they offer a wide variety of areas to study and research opportunities in many fields.

SATs don't help unless broken out by section. What is your SAT I math score? SAT I CR score?
Consider the University of Richmond.

Sounds like U Mich would be a reach. Moreso if you wait any longer to apply.

Is your math score strong? If you are international and english is a second language you may be looked at differently if the CR score is low and you might reach higher.

Michigan's Ross School of business is too much of a reach with an 1800 SAT I score, unless it is an unbalanced score favoring math. Indiana University Kelley school of Business is a reach for you worth reaching for.

Indiana
Wisconsin
Illinois
Ohio State
SMU
Arkansas

ColdWInd--I agree about the SAT, and was assuming that it was an unbalanced score.

OP, don't forget TOEFL, if English has not been your primary language in school.

though I don't feel like living in GA but I will take Emory into consideration. GWU has high tuition so I don't think I'm gonna go there even if I get accepted. also, I have some schools in PA so Lehigh would not be my top choice.

SAT: CR 480, M 650, W 660. I'm trying to boost CR up to 600 or 550, M I can stretch to 700 or 730, W I think that's my limit since I get 640-670 all the time.

I love UMich too, but my friend told me public schools do not have to invite students to their schools like private ones do, so it would be harder for me to get into competitive public schools. Is that true ?

right now I'm thinking of UMich, BC,UVA,NYU or maybe GTown. But since I need a reach I will look for a school that has a GOOD finance department particularly.

this question I've asked for so many times : is IU bloomington a reach or match for me ? It is ranked #11 but has high acceptance rate, so I don't know if I can have great chance to get into it ?

oh, about toefl, I think my score, although not high-95, is acceptable to most of US colleges.

You do not have a reasonable chance at Michigan, Virginia, NYU, Georgetown or Boston College. Indiana University is an excellent school & is a reach for you as the Kelley School of Business is harder to get into than the rest of the university.
A 650 Math score is very good, but quite low if you are applying as a non-resident to Virginia. Even as a resident of Virginia, you would not be admitted with a CR score of 480. Forget NYU Stern School of Business as both your CR & Math scores are too low. Georgetown is a waste of your application fee. Michigan is more difficult than all of your other choices. Boston College is highly unlikely. Emory will not accept you with a CR score of 480.
My post #8 above listed realistic reaches for you. All expect a 650 math score. All the reaches listed in post #8, expect a CR score of at least 560.

I agree Indiana is a good bet now, but if you can get the math into the 700's and CR to 600, Michigan is worth a shot and UNC.

lol I'll try, thanks for reply

dracula...you are all over the place geographically.....and while that is not necessarily bad, as some students dont put a huge preference on geography and focus more on schools and programs, it doesnt fit with your other threads about looking in the mid atlantic and south....now you are talking northeast and midwest and west.

At this stage that isnt a problem. Its only an issue come April when you hear back from schools and are trying to decide between offers and need to visit schools to see for yourself where you "fit" the best.

Your CR score, as you know is very problematic. That needs to be explained in your applications. Reach for you should be a school that is in the 1250-1350 range. If you got into a school, say like an Ivy, that may be a problem for you in struggling and being surrounded by people with scores around 1600 and you not fitting in. Consider where you fit and where you will be able to thrive, not what is prestigious.
