okayy, so i switched town districts this year & im now going to be a freshman.

my 8th grade class last year was an Algebra/Geometry mix. We didn't finish the whole geometry course, so i was supposed to take a summer course over the summer. I didn't take the summer course, so theres still some things that i haven't mastered.

my new school put me in an Honors Algebra 2/Trig class. I don't know what i should do. They're not making me test into it but do you think i am ready for this. Should I tell them that i want to be in Geometry? if i do this class, i will finish the geometry soon, but i just don't know what i should do. someone give me advice here. =|

okayy. yeah i completely finished algebra 1 & like half of geometry. i have the geometry book the school uses & i'm going to be taking a course starting in like december that will finish my geometry.

Algebra 2 is a lot more like an expansion on algebra 1 than it is Geometry. You get into a little bit with Conic Sections (ew, this was like my least favorite part of the class), but you should be fine. :) I'd take the course.

I loved conic sections. But that was just me. :D

Algebra 2 isn't really an expansion on geometry at all.
It's why some schools have you take math in a different order other than Al. 1, geom, al 2 (IE Al. 1, Al. 2, then Geom; or Geom, Al 1, Al 2)
