I Need Post-SAT Advice

Hi, so basically I want to know whether or not it is worth my time taking the SAT again. I was a junior that took the SAT for the first time in October and my result goes as follows:
SAT Total: 2280
Writing: 770 (76, 10 essay)
Math: 770
Reading 740

My math score was around what I had assumed i would receive, my reading score was a little bit higher, and I thought I would get a 800 on my writing as I normally do (I almost always get a 12 on the essay :[ ) Had I received a 12, It would have scored as a 800 (76, 12 essay)
which would have brought it up to a 2310. With studying I can probably get Math up to a 800 as well. But my question for you is, is this really worth my time? Would it look better for me to risk taking it again to get an extra 50-60 extra points or does it look better/ is it more beneficial for me to keep the 2280 and show that I only took this test once as a Junior in October?

If it matters, I'm asian.

On a side note, I want to get in schools like stanford, duke, upenn, yale, or harvard

I would just stick with the 2280, especially if you only took the SAT once. I only got a 2260, and I’m defiantly not retaking. As I posted on another thread, a SAT score of 2280 is well above the average score of all the schools you mentioned. For example, the average SAT score at stanford is a 2172 according to the CC college search. At this point, I would focus on getting the other part’s of your applications in order, such as EC and subject tests. In the end, they are what really help you get into the most competitive schools. Good luck!
