i need reassurance!!!!!!!

hey guys, i got into 4 ivies, swarthmore, etc. but, i also got into the leadership in medicine program at union. i chose this program, since i'm set on becoming a doctor. I know plenty of people there who passed up HYP and similar schools for the program, but i'm still looking for a little reassurance

anyone?

I would've gone to an ivy league. lol. Sorry.

as long as you're happy, that's all that should matter.

just dont choose union and say constantly, "but i DID get into HYP." accept wherever you go and move on

go to the school that you like. ivies have great med school placement and you should not have a problem getting into med school so long as you keep a good gpa.

bump for you

I think that you did the right thing. The Ivies and other top schools have a lot of hype, but the reality does not measure up, in my opinion. I went to one Ivy and one other top school. The standard courses are the same everyplace. Environments do vary- you have to pick a place with the location, activities, residential possibilities, etc, that suit you. But if Union suits you, and puts you into med school, you did that. The Ivy to med school route would have worked, too, but it sounds like more pressure and possible burnout. You will be able to divert a lot of energy from worrying toward better things at Union.
