I'm torn between two colleges, I know I'll apply to both but after that..I have no idea how I'll make my decision. The colleges are Texas State University- San Marcos and University of North Carolina- Charlotte. I guess I'm looking for pros and cons of each choice.

Info about me:
I live in Texas
Top 4% of my class
1700 SAT

So why even consider UNCC?
That's where my boyfriend is...and I don't really want to be in an LDR for four more years.
I really like Charlotte too.

Do NOT choose a college or town because of a boyfriend. Down that path lies disaster.

Is the only reason you’re applying UNCC because of your boyfriend? That should not factor heavily into your decision. Instead, look for schools that have your major, that you think you’ll enjoy, and that you can get into. You should also probably have a longer list unless you’re guaranteed admission to one of these schools.

Not a good idea to apply to a school where a boyfriend is. You’re a rising senior in HS. The chances that your BF will still be your BF in a year or two are lowish.

Besides, going to an OOS public is expensive.

How much will your parents pay each year? THAT answer will likely determine where you should apply.

Both schools offer what I plan on majoring in.

Will your parents pay for UNC-C?

Tuition and fees --------------------- $18,402
Room and board --------------------- $8,130
Books and supplies --------------------- $1,200
Estimated personal expenses --------- $2,360

Transportation expenses --------------------- $958

Estimated Total --------------------- $31,050

If your parents won’t pay the $31k per year to go there, then the question is moot.
